Come Join Our Table

Our two families are joined by sisters with a crazy love for fresh, whole foods, sunshine and beekeeping.  We come from a long line of Italians that love to cook and eat.  We live in the kitchen and start cooking the next meal before we've finished the last.  If you have a love for food and eating like we do, then you've come to the right place!  Our honey is raw, natural, and delicious.  You've come here to partake...welcome to the family!

Raw and Real

There are a ton of ways to legally define and label raw honey. Here's how we do it:  We don't pasteurize or filter it.  We only lightly strain it to remove unwanted particles.  Raw honey has an indefinite shelf-life.  It's normal for honey in its purest form to crystallize over time.  Crystallized honey can be brought back to a flowing state by running it under warm water.  You can expect there may be traces of pollen, propolis, beeswax, enzymes, minerals and all other natural goodness in your bottle of honey...spread THAT on your toast!

We're Certified

We are super proud to be Certified Natural Growers.  What does this mean?  It means that we follow guidelines that promote natural, healthy and safe beekeeping.  Our honey is created on land that is not treated with pesticides, herbicides, fungicides and synthetic fertilizers.  It also means we don't treat our hives with antibiotics.  Our little ladies are healthy and our hives are free of antibiotic residue.  We work and study in the nursing field and antibiotic resistance is a big deal to us!  Certified Naturally Grown is the grassroots alternative to Certified Organic for family-sized farms and apiaries.  The standards are largely the same, with our inspections conducted by local farmers and customers.

Because It's Not About Us

As cool as we like to think we are, we realize that we're just a small part of a greater good.  Even the most minimal contributions in the same direction can make a big change.  Raising honeybees is a lot like raising children.  We are all trying our best.  We all have the best intentions in mind.  And we all have tried and true practices that we stand by.  While we will continue to work for a more sustainable future through Certified Naturally Grown practices, we will also support others efforts of beekeeping and honeybee promotion.  By supporting each other we can continue to work for a common goal...the bees.  Without them, well, we don't have anything left to work for.

Nicknamed the Beehive State, Utah is known for the industry and perseverance of the honeybee, qualities of the early Mormon pioneer settlers.  The mountainous ranges and desert landscapes of Utah deliver the the most delicious Wildflower and Clover honey. While these flavors are closest to our hearts, we are committed to the honeybee population which has given us the opportunity to work with and support incredible beekeepers across America while also delivering unique flavors of honey not available in our state.

For the Bees

Thanks to our backers who have participated in our Adopt-A-Hive program, we will continue to support our hives and educate others about beekeeping every year.  In order to achieve our goals of creating a more sustainable future (one hive at a time) we have been blessed to partner with a great friend, mentor and beekeeper who has dedicated his beekeeping practices to the same high standards that we hold.  This allows us to continue to meet the demand for Certified Naturally Grown raw honey produced in Northern Utah using safe, natural beekeeping.

Giving Back

Our bees visit 2 million flowers to make us one pound of honey!  So, right here at the pollination station we're spreading the sweetness.  We've created The Bee's Kneeds Campaign to encourage the growth of our girls by planting bee friendly flowers, scrapping the pesticides, and avoiding antibiotic resistance.  It's important to allow the honeybees to live in their natural environment and do what they do best, make honey!

In addition to honeybees, we also love and are deeply moved by individuals and organizations that sacrifice for the greater good. Our family is personally affected by multiple sclerosis, a debilitating disease which currently has no cure. The National MS Society deserves our support in the fight to end this disease that affects the lives of more than 2.3 million people worldwide. Our Busy Lips Lip Balm flavor, MS Crush, was created in the honor of all those who are affected by MS. Half of the proceeds for every tube sold goes directly to the National MS Society. You can also make a personal donation to the National MS Society by supporting Team Queen Farina in the Bike MS 2017 ride. Let us fight together to create a world free from MS!

The bee is more honored than other animals, not because she labors, but because she labors for others.

Many of us know someone that is a true steward of our natural environment. These people often go unnoticed and are underappreciated for their great efforts. Now's your chance to give them some props! Tell us why you believe this great "someone" should be recognized. We will occasionally select a few and send them a small token of appreciation from the Queen Farina family.
